was founded in 2002 by Nancy August. The initial concept of the company was birthed after Nancy and her husband participated in a meditation retreat. While returning home with their functional meditation pillows, Nancy, in typical creative fashion, began to brainstorm about the ultimate zafus and zabutons. She began dreaming up meditation pillows that were not only functional and comfortable, but also a stunning addition to the any room of the home. Nancy began importing silks and Kimono fabrics. By stuffing the zafus with buckwheat and lavender, and the zabutons with natural cotton batting, the pillows were unique both in their hip, creative look and functionality. Thus began Zen Skye. Since that time, Zen Skye has expanded to encompass products that accentuate both the home and soul in their imaginative, tranquil beauty. The line is hip, creative and makes a statement.
